This year Holland Aviation celebrates it's 40th anniversary.
Holland Aviation was founded on the 1st of January 1968. At that time the activities consists of air advertising and photo flights which are executed with an Auster MkV PH NFH.
After the Auster had made an emergency landing at Scheveningen, caused by a technical malfunction, Holland Aviation starts the import export and manufacture of “Pilot Supplies”.
At the Bergsingel in Rotterdam, Holland Aviation opens in 1970, the first Dutch Pilots shop in the Netherlands.
In 1980 Holland Aviation settles at Midden Zeeland Aerodrome. Soon many customers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, , France Germany and England find their way to the well known Shop of Holland Aviation.
From 1984 until 1986 Holland Aviation operates with success a Motor glider RF5 B PH 741.
In 1986 the present and larger hall is built.
In the early nineties, Holland Aviation feels that because of new regulations, rising fuel costs etc the interest for flying and the general aviation stalls . The decision is made to change direction and point the activities to the manufacture of professional windsock assemblies, airport and heliport lighting.
It is a good choice because at present Holland Aviation supplies windsock assemblies, Airport and Heliport lighting worldwide for telecommunication purposes in remote areas, Off shore heliplatforms in the North sea, Singapore and Arabic oil states, Military and Peace keeping missions. In the Netherlands their products are supplied to almost all Large and smaller airports, heliports at hospitals and company owned heliports.
Holland Aviation is looking forward to the future because of the continuous increase of requests for their products.
The 40th anniversary will not pass by unnoticed.

Recently Amsterdam Heliport opened.
The aim of Amsterdam Heliport is to provide a Heliport for business people, close to the city of Amsterdam.

For the third year Holland Aviation is participating in the Art project " 30 Windsocks" by the Belgium Artist " Griet Dobbels".
30 Windsocks in varying uncommon shapes are placed along the coastal boulevard of the Belgium town Knokke Heist. |
